Call for Patient Representatives to join the IBUS Collaboration Committee

Dear IBD Patient/Community Member

We are reaching out to you with an exciting opportunity to significantly impact the future of care for individuals living with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). The International Bowel Ultrasound (IBUS) Collaboration Committee is seeking patient representatives to join our committee and help shape our initiatives, ensuring that patient perspectives remain at the heart of everything we do.

Why Your Voice Matters

Bowel ultrasound is a game-changer in IBD management, providing real-time, non-invasive insights that improve patient care. As someone with lived experience, your insights are invaluable in helping us:

  • Prioritize patient needs in developing and promoting ultrasound practices.
  • Improve communication between healthcare providers and patients.
  • Ensure that research and educational efforts align with what truly matters to patients.

By becoming a patient representative, you can share your experiences and advocate for advancements that benefit the IBD community globally.

Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking an individual with IBD who:

  • Has personal experience with intestinal ultrasound as a management assessment tool in IBD clinics.
  • Is passionate about improving care and advancing patient-centered practices.
  • Is willing to collaborate with healthcare professionals, researchers, and other stakeholders.
  • Can commit to regular committee meetings (held virtually)

No prior committee experience is necessary—just a willingness to contribute and make a difference.

What’s Involved

As a patient representative, you will:

  • Participate in virtual meetings to discuss IBUS initiatives.
  • Provide feedback on educational materials, research proposals, and clinical protocols.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to improve the integration of intestinal ultrasound in IBD care.

Your involvement will help ensure that our efforts remain patient-focused and effective.

How to Apply

If you are interested in this role, please complete the short application form linked below by June 25, 2025. We encourage you to share a brief statement about why you would like to join the IBUS Collaboration Committee and how your experience could contribute to our mission.
